Brighton’s fire department is welcoming a new leader, following the retirement of long-time Chief Lloyd Hutchinson.
Former Deputy Chief Rick Caddick took over the top job on March 1. The municipality undertook a province-wide process and Caddick was the most qualified candidate.
Hutchinson says he’s proud of his years of service in our community – He’s most looking forward to spending time with his family.
Caddick lives in Brighton and has helped the department with many training and equipment upgrades over the years.
