New census data shows most of Brighton’s workforce had a similar take-home income to that of Northumberland County in 2015.
The numbers, released on Statistics Canada’s website this morning, show the median household income was just over $68,000, compared to roughly $70,000 across the County.
Single-person homes saw a median total wage of over $35,000, about $800 more than Northumberland as a whole. Two or more person homes made just over $79,000, compared to nearly $84,000 in the County.
The median total income for Canadian homes rose nearly 11 per cent to just over $70,000 in 2015.
