Two people are facing charges following a bank robbery in Brighton last month.
Northumberland OPP say on May 25, a lone male entered the CIBC bank on Main Street and handed the teller a note demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene in a truck. The truck was found abandoned a short time later. On June 7, police arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.
A man and woman were arrested in the Havelock area, while in possession of a vehicle that had been reportedly stolen from the Halton Region earlier that day.
Officers also seized some items as a result of the arrest, including a stun gun a collapsible baton and assorted break and enter instruments.
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address is facing a long list of charges, including robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a weapon.
A 29-year-old Mississauga woman is also facing charges related to possession of weapons and being in possession of break-in tools.
