The Government of Canada says it’s going to help young Canadians kick-start their careers.
The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program will provide funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students in their communities.
Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd says a summer job is an important way for young people to learn new skills and get valuable work experience.
Last year, the Government of Canada nearly doubled the number of jobs available through the program.
This year, CSJ funding funded nearly 243 jobs in the riding.
