Our community will never forget Grace Bowen. Her legacy goes on with all the efforts made by our community, including those from local restaurant JJ’s Steak and Burgers.
Over the weekend (June 10) a Classic Car show was held in Baltimore, with all proceeds going to Sick Kids Childhood Cancer Research.
One of the contributors were JJ’s Steak and Burgers, raising almost $1000 for Sick Kids, in the name of local Grace Bowen who passed away after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma a few days shy of her ninth birthday. After going through major surgery and aggressive chemotherapy, she died just 11 months later in March 2015.
We sit down with Tony Manna of JJ’s.
The next fundraising event JJ’s Steak and Burgers has planned is coming up on June 21st in Victoria Park, with music from Steve Quigley and Friends and all money raised will go to support the Port Hope & District Healthcare Foundation.
