Community Care is looking for volunteers to help launch the new hospice in Hamilton Township.
The new Northumberland Hospice Care Centre will be a home-away-from-home for those living with life-threatening illnesses in our community.
It unveiled its capital campaign and design plans at a launch event on Wednesday.
Project Lead Sherry Gibson told Brighton council last week that the six bed residential facility will sit on a 1.5 acre property on Ontario Street.
Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles including fundraising, reception and greeters. Doors could be open as soon as March 2019.
