We could be getting more parking spots in the near future, and be paying for them even sooner.
Councillors will meet tonight at City Hall, and among the items on the agenda, is a final vote on a plan to bring 750 new parking spots to the city’s downtown by 2027, to keep up with the increased demand by local drivers.
Council will also determine if jacking up the price of parking in downtown Peterborough to $1.25 an hour will help pay for the work.
Councillors will also determine whether or not to move forward with the city’s new tagline, ‘Live Outside the Ordinary’.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
