A Peterborough icon has received a big honour from the Peterborough Petes.
The Media/Scout Room at the Memorial Centre has been named for Gary Dalliday.
The man known affectionately as ‘The Diller’ says he is extremely touched by the gesture.
The idea for the tribute came from his game day partner in the room, Don Barrie.
Dalliday was the sports director at CHEX-TV for 35 years and served as the Petes’ radio voice for 15 seasons.
The fourth floor lounge, which overlooks the ice, is an area for local, national, and international media and scouts to congregate before and during Petes home games.
