Throughout Northumberland there are countless women who are always working to make Northumberland the thriving community it is.
One of them is Wendy Curtis, the executive director of the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation.
She started her career at the CFDC in 2004, but has lived in Northumberland since the late 90s since she returned from living abroad in Mexico to raise her family.
Curtis says she started as a volunteer on the board, took a short-term job with the corporation and has turned it into a nearly 15-year career.
Her business background led her down this path, and she has experience running her own business with help since the focus of the CFDC is supporting entrepreneurs.
Here is Curtis in conversation with myFM’s Rebecca Bartlett.
