A new program at the Cobourg Public Library will benefit children and animals.
Rachel Spence, the community engagement assistant at the library, tells us about the Shelter Buddies program.
She says this program will hopefully benefit the children and the shelter animals.
Spence says they will not only have dogs in the library for the program, but cats, turtles, guinea pigs and other small animals as well.
There’s a registration night at the library from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7.
There’s only 12 spots available for students in grades 1 through 4 for the six week program.
