New virtual supports have launched at Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre.
The first is Cornerstone Connect, which originally launched in June of 2020.
Nancy Johnston, executive director at Cornerstone tells us more.
The text and online chat service is now available seven days a week between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., and you can utilize the service by texting 289-210-4774 or visiting cornerstonenorthumberland.ca/connect.
Johnston tells us a bit about the second new support they recently launched.
Episodes are posted the second Monday of each month, the the first three episodes coming available this coming Monday, January 11.

Cornerstone’s executive director explains why these supports are so important.
She says the services are too new to have received any feedback, but that they’re already seeing results.
Johnston says the most important thing is for the community to know they are still supporting the community through both in-person and virtual services along with the shelter which has remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
