A Cobourg resident is facing a slew of charges after a drug bust this morning (Jan 12).
Cobourg Police say members of both their force and the Port Hope Police Service conducted a search warrant at 351 John Street in Cobourg.
As a result of the search, 22.8 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of fentanyl – worth roughly $6,700 – $1,290 in cash, a .22 calibre rifle and replica handgun were seized.
35-year-old Terry Ryan Beaton has been charged with possession of cocaine and fentanyl, both for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and careless storage of a weapon or ammunition.
Beaton will appear in court for a bail hearing later today (Jan 12).
