The Ontario Small Business Support Grant is now open.
Vic Fedeli, minister of economic development, job creation and trade says eligible businesses can receive between $10,000 and $20,000.
Minister Fedeli adds it’s intended to help small businesses in Ontario that were required to close or significantly restrict services under Ontario’s provincewide shutdown (effective December 26th, 2020) and he encourages you to apply right away.
Fedeli adds that you can also apply for even more.
David Piccini, member of provincial parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South says this grant gives small businesses the flexibility to apply it to what is needed most in their business.
Starting at $10,000 for all eligible businesses, the grant will provide businesses with dollar for dollar funding up to a maximum of $20,000 to help with revenue losses resulting from government mandated lockdowns.
Businesses will be able to use the support however they see fit; for example, some businesses will use the support to pay employee wages, while others will need support maintaining their inventory, etc.
You can apply now at https://www.app.grants.gov.on.ca/msrf/#/captcha.
MPP Piccini adds that all supports during the pandemic can be found at www.covidsupports.ca.
