As vaccine passports are lifted today across Ontario, Brighton’s mayor wants you to be respectful no matter where you go.
Brian Ostrander says he is personally thrilled about the latest developments but we all have to continue to do our part and that includes support local businesses.
President of Brighton/Cramahe Chamber of Commerce, Bobbie Wright, released this statement:
“Ontario, and also, Brighton and Cramahe region are moving forward. My hope is that this is a good thing for businesses, that we don’t have to move backwards again, ever – and I hope that everyone continues to be respectful of personal choices made for safety sake so that our collective anxiety can temper and cool. We are all still wearing masks for a bit longer although maybe not as long as some would like, and likely too long for others. Respect is going to be key, especially as I think our collective eyes are on other parts of the world that need our attention.”
Vaccine requirements for long-term care and health care will remain in place for now and masking will remain in place.
