Last night’s (March 27) Cobourg council highlights included the appointment of Robert Mikel to the Heritage Advisory committee, correspondence from citizens on storm water billing and correspondence from Northumberland County on 310 Division Street.
In regards to 310 Division street, CAO Tracey Vaughan said there were two items that will require action by Cobourg council.
In summary, Vaughan suggested council review, discuss and enter into a decision on those two items.
During further discussions on correspondence, specifically that from Municipality of Port Hope regarding Management of 310 Division St – An Opportunity for Community Integration, Councillor Miriam Mutton asked Mayor Lucas Cleveland for his insight on where negotiations stood in relation to 310 Division Street.
Mayor Cleveland said that much of what has been discussed at county council has been in closed session and so he could not provide any further insight at this time, but did commend Port Hope council for their support and is optimistic of a positive resolution.
