As the push for mandatory seatbelts on school buses continues, Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario says it’s ready to comply if it’s mandated.
Joel Sloggett, CAO with STSCO, says parents have reached out in the past about seatbelts.
Sloggett adds it would be an added cost, but assistance would be possible.
However, he wants to remind everyone that STSCO’s buses are up to safety standards.
Former Premier Kathleen Wynne has introduced a new bill that would see all school buses equipped with seatbelts by 2025 if passed.
