Les Andrews is seeking re-election to Port Hope council.
He owned and operated the three McDonald’s in Cobourg and Port Hope for 25 years after working in the computer industry for 20 years, and has lived in Northumberland since 1989.
Andrews says he’s proud of the progress that was made in the past four years, and he doesn’t think the work in the municipality is done yet.
Andrews adds that growth is happening and is set to happen in Port Hope, and with the influx of people, there’ll be traffic and policing issues and a strong council is needed to make wise decisions for the municipality.
Andrews is one of only two candidates seeking re-election and is up against 10 other candidates in Ward 1.
