Selena Forsyth of Port Hope has been named one of the 2018 June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers Award recipients by Community Care Northumberland.
Forsyth get the award for her, “fervent, tenacious attitude, and having a steadfast calling to ensure exceptional hospice care in all of Northumberland County for the past decade”.
The award was established in 1994 by the former Hospice Association of Ontario to acknowledge and thank outstanding hospice volunteers across Ontario.
Port Hope Mayor Bob Sanderson talked about Selena and the award at Port Hope Council on Tuesday night (Aug. 7).
Sanderson says that Selena is an outstanding volunteer and has been actively with hospice across the province.
Trish Baird- Executive Director of CCN says, “Volunteers like Selena are an essential element to the delivery of our visiting Hospice Services program within Northumberland County,
Baird added, “It is an honour to congratulate Selena for her outstanding volunteer efforts”.
