Tonight, you’re in for a night of inspiration!
MBC, along with Cameco, are proud to present Karl Subban. He will be speaking tonight (May 16) at the theatre at Cobourg Collegiate Institute (CCI) on King Street East in Cobourg.
In his thirty years of coaching, teaching and parenting, Karl Subban has blazed a path of leadership. Your greatest gift is your potential, he says, and your greatest gift to the world is the development of that potential. He tells us more about unlocking that potential.
Originally from Jamaica, where he never played hockey, Subban learned the game when his family moved from Jamaica to Sudbury.
Karl and his wife, Maria, have raised five accomplished children, including three NHL players: Montreal Canadiens star defenceman P.K., goalie Malcolm, drafted by the Boston Bruins, and Jordan, drafted by the Vancouver Canucks. He tells us more about his parenting.
Karl will share stories and strategies from his book: “How We Did It: The Subban Plan for Success in Hockey, School and Life”.
Karl has so many warm, funny and relatable stories of how to make extraordinary achievement an everyday reality.
Tickets are $10 and are available at Furby House Books in Port Hope, Let’s Talk Book in Cobourg and will also be available at the door at CCI. Karl will speak at 7 pm.
